STUDENTS of SK St Martin, Samarahan, are expected to be moved to a new government primary school to be built in the same area, said Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Datin Hajah Fatimah Abdullah yesterday.

She said the Education Ministry had agreed to build a new school in the area as the Board of Management (BOM) of the aided school was not in a position to raise funds to rebuild the school.

“Because of this, a new school - SK Merdang - has been proposed for consideration under the 10th Malaysia Second Rolling Plan,” she told Assemblyman Dato Sri Haji Mohammad Ali Mahmud (BNMuara Tuang) in the DUN sitting yesterday.

Mahmud wanted to know when SK St Martin would be rebuilt as presently its pupils are being temporary placed at SK Jalan Muara Tuang
